Abstract

1. A method for the carriage of liquid gas in insulated containers (8.1; 13.1) which are insulated to maintain the low temperatures necessary for the carriage of liquid gas and which are combined to form groups (3, 4) into which the liquid gas is charged at the departure port (1) and from which the gas is removed at the destination port (2), characterised in that at the departure port the gas is introduced directly from the liquefaction plant (5) into the floating containers and stored therein until carriage, and the floating containers serve as storage vessels at the destination port and the liquid gas is evaporated directly from the containers in accordance with demand.
