Abstract

The invention relates to a sole construction in the manner of a shell sole for orthopedic therapeutic shoes (1). An important element is an angularly cross-sectioned shell frame (2) with a mounting and sealing lip (3) formed on in one piece. The shell frame (2) is fastened to the circumferential edge of the shoe bottom, the sealing lip (3) lying on the shoe bottom. A prefabricated frameless outsole (4) is fastened on the mounting and sealing lip (3) inside the part of the shoe bottom delimited by the shell frame ring (2). The shell frame ring (2) consists of a wear-resistant non-slip material, its outer surface (14) being profiled so as to prevent slipping. The outsole (4) is designed as a cushion and consists of a flexible material. The heel (5) is equipped externally with a shell rim (13) to receive a heelpiece which has a wear-resistant front part (11) and a flexible rear part (12).
