Abstract

The invention concerns a single axis hinge intended for use in particular with folding doors (2) with several leaf elements (3). The proposed hinge element comprises at least two hinge lobes (4, 6) which are connected via a single axis joint (5) so as to articulate and hinge housings (8, 10) which are securely mounted in the door leaf elements (3) and in which the hinge lobes (4, 6) are mounted so as to be adjustable. It is proposed that a biased spring (12) should hold the two hinge lobes (4, 6) in a first stable position at an angle of 180 DEG in relation to one another when the door leaf elements (3) are in a closed position.
