Abstract

The method involves turning the cylinder (1), a tension load is exerted on the block (2), which is secured to the cylinder (1), in the peripheral direction (FU). In addition to this load, axial tension loads (FA) are exerted in opposite axial directions on the block periphery, and all loads can be arranged to act only on the outer block edges. At each edge of the block there can be a pressure roller (3), movable in and out of position in relation to the cylinder (1), their axes of rotation including an angle with the cylinder axis. The roller are in mirror-image positions in relation to the central plane which is at right angles to the cylinder axis. Thus when the rollers press against the block at the edges axial tension loads are generated.
