Abstract

The tape for cutting into lengths can be braked, and a guard (6) is provided in front of the cutter element which enables the cutter to strike and cut the tape when it is braked. The roll is contained in a housing and has a slot for feed of the tape to the cutter, and a projection (5) serving as the braking component is provided in the direction of feed after the slot.
