Abstract
1. Device for the remote control of the gap separating an impact surface from a rotor of an impact breaker, including a rod (6) one end of which is connected to the impact surface, a variable volume chamber (23), the rod (6) being movable lengthwise according to the volume variations of the said chamber, the latter being defined by a cylinder (24) coaxial to the rod (6), the said cylinder being fitted with a bottom (25) at its farthest end from the impact surface, and by a piston (30) movable in a fluidtight manner inside the cylinder (24), and a hydraulic power plant (33) connected to the variable volume chamber (23), characterized by the fact that the piston (30) to which the other end of the rod (6) is fastened, undergoes a continuous back-pressure due to the action of resilient means (26), the said back-pressure acting in the direction which brings the impact surface and the rotor nearer, and by the fact that the hydraulic power plant (33) includes means to introduce into and remove from the variable volume chamber (23) dosed quantities of liquid.
