Abstract

A portable tool for crimping connecting terminals onto electrical conductors, including a rotatably mounted die holder barrel (1) comprising an axial bore (11) and provided with at least two sets of dies (13A, 13B) that are radially movable between two end positions and have differently shaped crimping tips (13a, 13b); a fixed cam (2) surrounding the barrel (1) and having an operative surface (15, 16) engaged by the outer ends (13d) of the dies (13A, 13B), said operative surface (15, 16) being shaped in such a way that all the dies (13A and 13B) may be positioned in an inoperative position, or the dies in one set of dies (13A or 13B) may be selectively moved in the axial direction of the axial bore (11) in the barrel (1); and drive means (3-4) for rotating said barrel (1).
