Abstract

The flat roof tile (1) forms a horizontal head and side expansion joint when laid and, owing to its rebating, causes multiple overlapping. The outer and inner head interlocking rib (213, 217) merges, without interruption in each case, into an outer and inner side interlocking rib (513, 515), respectively. In each case a single cutout is present in the foot/side interlocking corner (48) and in the head/top interlocking corner (29). The aim of the invention is to provide a flat roof tile which is of the greatest possible format, having a large degree of head clearance, and in the case of which, even where the tiles have slid to an extreme degree, protection from rain is ensured in the corner between four tiles, to be precise even when the tiles are laid with a roof inclination of less than 22 DEG . This is achieved in that the foot/side interlocking corner (48) has only a single corner cutout (486) to which there is assigned, over its entire width, a receiving surface (5137) which, when laid as part of the roof covering, is overlapped over its width by a portion (4251) of the inner foot interlocking rib (425) which is located on the underside of the top interlocking part (3). <IMAGE>
