Abstract

A device for feeding moulding masses, in particular those which are problematic because of their fluidity, to tablet-compressing machines, has a controllable or adjustable dosing device (30) arranged in a supply channel (20) that ends in a filling shoe (10). The dosing device (30) has a motor-driven cellular shaft (35) surrounded by a housing (31, 32) and having at least four cells (36). The approximately horizontal axis of rotation of the cellular shaft (35) extends transversely to the supply channel (20). This device allows supplying the moulding mass in a controlled or adjusted manner to the filling shoe (10) during the tablet-compressing process and temporarily storing it therein without modifying its bulk density or fluidity.
