Abstract

The invention concerns a substantially crucible-shaped floodable embedded unit (1) which can be set in concrete in the wall or bottom (9) of a water-filled pool to accommodate and secure an underwater lighting unit (6). A feed pipe (4) is integrally connected to the embedded unit (1); the opposite free end of the feed pipe projects into a dry or servicing chamber. The feed duct (4) can be used to supply water to flow through the embedded unit (1), or can house the cable (5) which carries the electrical power for the lighting unit (6). A sealing cable screw joint (26) is provided at the free end of the feed duct (4).
