Abstract

The locker assembly (1) consists of a rack of individual lockers (2). Each locker has an individual door (2) and electronically operated lock. The user uses a keyboard (7) and display (6) to select an empty locker of the required size. An indicator lamp (4) on the selected locker lights up. The user uses a handle (8) to open the locker door and inserts his baggage. He then presses the operating knob (3) alongside the door to lock it. The user then inserts a credit card in a reader (13) on the central panel, or alternatively, coins in a slot (10). The display shows a PIN code number which the user memorises. When the user requires the baggage back, he keys in the locker number and his PIN code to allow the door to open.
