Abstract

The device has an ignition transformer (1) with an insulated secondary connecting cable (2) electrically connected to a gas discharge lamp or the casing for a lamp. The cable is enclosed by a flexible insulating grommet (3). The first end section (4) of the grommet is arranged inside the transformer housing (6). The second end section of the grommet forms a conical shape (5) which is inserted into a conical opening (7) in an equipment carrier (16).
