Abstract

The device has noise-absorbing elements (1) with parallel sheets (2) which are spaced from one another. The sheets are tensioned, and have microscopic perforations. The sheets may be tensioned between an upper support (3) which is made from a material which is stiff in bending, and a lower support (4), which is made from a similarly stiff material. The tension may be due to the weight of the lower support. The supports may also be connected to each other by a tensile securing element (5). The elements may be fixed behind one another above head level, in the manner of a skirt, and preferably may be attached to the ceiling of a room.
