Abstract

The system has a controller, a navigation device, a radio receiver for evaluating traffic information, a return channel and a user interface. Coded traffic control and information system data received by the receiver are stored in a memory. A code is requested from a central station by the controller using the return channel according to traffic control and/or information requests entered via the user interface. The data in the memory corresp. to the request is decoded using the code retrieved from the central station. The decoded data from the controller is processed together with the data from the other devices of the control and information system and is made available via the user interface.
