Abstract

The inspection chamber consists of a cylindrical body (1). The body is set in the ground, is closed at its lower end by a shaped base (2) and has an opening at the top for access. The body and base have annular grooves (3,4) which are aligned when the base is fitted into position, and they are then joined together and sealed by injecting a substance (5) into the grooves. The base also has a series of outer projections (10) with recesses (11) to receive pipes fitted at various angles.
