Abstract

A tilting ironing board (1) has legs (7, 8) which intersect in an axis (9). One of the legs (7) is fastened to the board plate via a rotary axis (6) while the other leg (8) is joined to the board via a height adjustment mechanism (5). A spacer piece (18, 19) is associated with each leg and mounted force- and form-lockingly between the legs (7, 8) on the axis (9). The pieces (18, 19) are each equipped with a groove and the grooves converge when the board is in a collapsed state. A locking lever (16), coupled to the adjusting lever (15), joins the pieces (18, 19).
