Abstract
1. A hydraulic support arrangement including a double-acting hydraulic working cylinder (1) with on one side a piston rod (2) ending in a support leg (3), said cylinder having a brake means (16 to 20) which blocks the retracting motion of the piston rod without the supply of pressure medium to the cylinder space (9) on the piston rod side and has a brake housing (14), said brake housing being disposed at the end of the cylinder (1) on the piston rod side and featuring slanted guide faces (18) bringing spring-loaded brake members (16) into abutment with the piston rod (2), in an annular chamber (22) connecting the cylinder space (9) on the piston rod side to the pressure pipe (8) there being provided for releasing said brake means a release piston (20) which surrounds the piston rod (2) and releases the brake members (16) against the spring tension upon application of pressure, characterized in that the release piston (20) has an axial collar (23) which in the blocking position wholly or partly bars and in the releasing position frees a ring-shaped inlet port (24) between the annular chamber (22) and the cylinder space (9) on the piston rod side.
