Abstract

Washing machine having a drum which rotates about an inclined axis, and a perforated container (3) which is removably provided through the front opening (8) of the drum, the perforated container (3) having an internal volume substantially equal to the internal volume of the drum. In use, clothes are provided in the perforated container (3) which is provided in the drum. After completion of the wash cycle, the entire perforated container (3) including the washed items is removed as one from the drum making the emptying of the washing machine after completion of the wash cycle quick and easy.
