Abstract

1. An assembly of a container and a stopper, the container comprising an internally cylindrical neck (1) closable by means of a stopper (2) which is formed by an externally cylindrical skirt (4) and an externally planar or roughly planar head (5), the skirt (4) being adapted to be inserted with a certain tight fit in the neck (1) of the container, this neck (1) and the stopper (2) being made of an elastically deformable material so that a pressure exerted roughly radially on the outer surface of the neck (1) has for effect to ovalize both the neck (1) of the container and the skirt (4) of the stopper (2), the neck (1) of the container including internal abutment means (7, 7a, 17) of a continuous annular shape which cooperate with the outer surface of the stopper (2) so as to oppose the insertion of the latter beyond an axial limit position so that the outer surface of the head (5) of the stopper (2) is then located approximately in a plane (P) passing through the free end of the neck (1) of the container, characterized in that the head (5) is directly connected to the skirt (4) and the outer surface of the stopper has, in the zone where it cooperates with the abutment means (7, 7a, 17) of the neck (1) of the container, a conjugate frustoconical shape (8, 8a).
