Abstract

The crimping pliers have a pair of crimping (18,20) jaws displaced linearly relative to one another upon operation of the relatively pivoted hand levers (12,14), to compress a crimping sleeve around the outside of an electrical conductor. At least one of the crimping plates (18) can be pivoted in the open position of the pliers, without altering the relative spacing of the crimping plates, to facilitate insertion of the crimping sleeve between the crimping plates.
