Abstract

The valve has a valve insert (3) and a valve diffuser (6) in a valve housing (10) with a valve spindle inserted in a sealing packing (12) and a valve cone (1) sliding in the valve insert. Piston rings (4a,b) are inserted in the upper part (1a) of the valve cone, which slides in the upper part of the valve insert (3a), and in the lower part (1c) of the valve cone, which slides in the lower part of the valve insert (3b). The upper pressure-activated surface (14) of the valve cone is exactly the same size as the lower pressure-activated surface (13) of the valve cone. The pressure-activated surfaces are connected to one another through at least one axial bore (2). The steam adjustment valve is operated by a clear-water hydraulic drive (7) arranged in the housing.
