Abstract

The door has a continuous or frame-like filling (1) of less solid material set stabilised by a solid frame (6) whose socket is made of laminated wood veneer. Several individual veneers can be fixedly glued together on interposed layers (8) running at right angles to the plane of the door panel. The adhesive layers can each run parallel to the outer edge (2) set closest to it. The glue on the layers can be based on phenol or "Melamin" (RTM) resins. The veneer layer can be enclosed round its outer sides by one or more cover strips.
