Abstract

The lock casing (2), containing a key-operated mechanism and located within the door panel (6), is fitted between two outer trim plates (9, 10) on the outside (7) and inside (8) of the door and incorporates an anti-drilling plate (11) on the outside of the casing, fixed it by screws (14) and made with a holes for the key. The anti-drilling plate is fitted directly to the outer surface of the lock casing and is fixed to the inner surface (17) of a security housing (18) recessed into the outside of the door panel and lying flush with the door panel's outer surface so that it fits behind the outer trim plate. The security housing is held in place by inner threaded bushes (16) engaging with the fixing screws (14).
