Abstract

1. Apparatus for safely applying drops, via a spraying system, such as a spray nozzle, an atomizing nozzle or a rotary atomizer, from a volume of liquid which is charged by means of one or more high-voltage generators, wherein a) the entire volume of liquid under high voltage is contained within a tank (1) and one or more lines (8), both tank and lines being made of a highly electrically insulating material, and b) the tank (1) made of a highly electrically insulating material and the lines (8) are surrounded externally by a conductive or non-chargeable, earthed covering (3) which prevents electrical forces acting on persons or near-by components of the equipment.
