Abstract

The circuit breaker/isolator assembly includes, associated with each pole, a breaking chamber at the top of a first insulator string (2) with upper and lower current connectors (6,7), and an isolator consisting of a second (fixed) insulator string (21), and a third string (11) pivotable about a shaft (13) in the vertical plane of the first and second strings. A connecting element (12) at the top of the pivotable string cooperates with the lower current connector (7). It is connected by a cable (30) to the top of the fixed string, from which the anti-roll bar (35) extends to an intermediate point on the cable where a discharge deflector (40) is fitted.
