Abstract

The invention relates to a glass balustrade for a passenger transportation device such as an escalator or a moving pavement, comprising several glass segments that are clamped in corresponding retaining devices and accommodate profiled sections for the assembly of a hand-rail. At least parts of the glass segments are made of a single sheet of security glass with a predetermined thickness and provided with a film on at least one side of thereof, whereby another single sheet of security glass with a given thickness is placed thereon.
