Abstract

A suspended electrical lighting system has a fluorescent light tube (4) that has plug on connectors at each end (6) that are offered up to sockets (12,14) that are located in holes (35) in a carrier panel (3). Mounted on the upper surface of the carrier is an electronic starter circuit module (5) that is preassembled. This has an integral adapter stage (11) that has connecting pins that engage contact bushes (30) within a socket (9) that is fixed to a mounting rail (2) secured to the ceiling. Extensions (15) have embedded power conductors that connect with the sockets in the carrier panel.
