Abstract

The invention relates to a circuit breaker, for example an automatic cutout, whose switch latch can be unlatched between a manual command organ (10) and at least one movable contact arm (1) at a latching position between a latch (6) and a trip lever (5) by means of a trip element. According to the invention, the movable contact arm (1) is accommodated in a link (2) that encloses the same on both sides on a first pin bearing (3) in a movable and rotatable manner. Said pin bearing (3) also accommodates the latch (6) off-center and the link (2) has a further pin bearing (4) on both sides. The trip lever (5) is mounted off-center on said pin bearing (4) in a stationary and rotatable manner. The link (2) and the movable contact arm (1), if it does not rest on a stationary contact (7), swivel about said pin bearing. The first pin bearing (3) restricts the cutout travel of the contact arm (1).
