Abstract

The bearing has a base (4) secured on to the frame, pocket-shaped cavity (2) for holding the end of a bar, and a rubber spring (3) located between the base and cavity. Two or more regions of different hardness are present in the spring. Preferably the spring is mushroom-shaped. It is formed from two thin pleated straps (9) between the bearing base and cavity. The pleats (6) near the base are narrower than those at the top end (9) of the bearing. Pairs of bearings have their bases linked via other straps (8) and their cavities by elastic cords (7).
