Abstract

1. Procedure for the distance calibration of electronic taximeters installed in vehicles which comprise a calculating device (MC), a read and write store (RAM), a system program store (EPROM) and a tariff data store (TPROM), a front facing input keyboard (T1 to T4) and a distance pulse generator (WG) connected to the taximeter, by which for the distance calibration the distance pulse generator (WG) may be connected to a register so that when the vehicle is rolling distance pulses corresponding to a distance covered on a test distance or a roller testing device are put into a register while this input is may visible on indicator means (AZ), characterized in that when a sealing (PK) accessible at the installed taximeter is removed a switch (K5) of the device is automatically switched to a test mode, that thereupon the distance pulse generator (WG) is connected to the register by the actuation of a first key (T2) of the input keyboard, that by operating a second key (T1) the distance pulse generator (WG) is switched off, thereby simultaneously transferring the counted pulse value in such manner that it is available for distance calculation in the operating mode and in that on resealing the taximeter the test mode is automatically released and the operating mode switched in.
