The triggering behavior of a triggering device (1, 2, 3, 4) and a tripping device (5 to 12) for the neutral conductor is different from the triggering behavior for at least one other pole. According to the invention, the triggering (4) and/or the tripping device (8 and 12) for the neutral conductor (N) is coupled with the tripping device (5 to 7 and 9 to 11) for other poles, and/or the triggering device (4) for the neutral conductor (N) has a different nominal current to the triggering device or triggering devices (1 to 3) for other poles.
