Abstract

The device comprises a hose (1) which contains an injection chamber (3) for the sealant. A curved outlet slot (5) emanates from it. To the side of the slot and parallel to the injection chamber is a compression chamber (4). The injection chamber is round, while the compression chamber is totally enclosed. The slot is at or near a point on the injection-chamber periphery through which a straight line (G1) joining the two chamber centres passes. For some at least of its length the slot can be clear of the periphery of the compression chamber. A section, typically a tenth of the total length, of the slot at the hose periphery can curve in a hook (6).
