Abstract

The container consists of a cylindrical metal body (12) with an upper edge (14) for its opening and a lower edge (16) attached to its base (18). The upper edge is fitted with a metal ring (20) with an annular central section (20C), an outer rim (20E) crimped to the upper edge of the body, and a rolled inner rim (20I) round its opening. The container has a wire handle (26) with its two ends turned inwards to form pivots (26E) which are held in place by inserting them into indentations (28) in the inner rolled rim of the upper ring. The ends of the handle are inclined slightly in opposite directions relative to the handle's plane of symmetry, and when folded the handle lies inside the ring against its annular central section.
