Abstract
The upper side of the combustion chamber floor (4) slopes inwards at least at the sides. The combustion chamber floor has a closed incandescence support surface (5) over part of its surface. The parallel struts (15) of the grid (14a,b) are at least partly hollow and have outlet holes (6) for the secondary air and connected with a secondary air inlet (7). The round or rectangular external cross-section of the struts cause the space (8) between two struts to taper in a nozzle shaped away from the top from the fire.
