Abstract
The welding process control unit (25) digitally controls welding process. The configuration and parameterization of the welding process control unit (25) is carried out with software, using the control device (4). Control device for a welding apparatus comprises a digital device e.g. a microprocessor control device and a welding process control unit which consists of signal-process-unit (SP unit), a pulse-width modulator (PWM) and at least one external component e.g. power unit (3) or an input and/or output device (22). An independent claim is included for process for controlling a welding device.
