Abstract

The hob (1) has a rectangular frame (2) with a sloping front face (3), three or more hotplates (4), and rows of display and control devices (5,6). The sloping face can be constructed in one piece from the same glass-ceramic material as the frame. Alternatively the frame and the sloping face can be manufactured separately from either the same material or different materials and assembled together. In this instance the sloping face can be metallic and the frame of glass-ceramic material.
