Abstract

1. A door frame, comprising a metal rim (1) to be joined to the brickwork (5), and a lining (2) formed of wood or optically similar materials, the lining substantially covering the (outer) side of the metal rim which faces away from the brickwork, and consisting of an intrados leg (3) and at least one wall leg (4), and wherein the metal rim consisting of a multi-piece profile, optionally assembled into an integral frame, namely of one or more base profile sections (7) having wall legs (9, 10) extending relative to each other under substantially right angles, by means of which the metal rim may be secured to the brickwork, and one or more holding profile sections (8) which are securely connected to each other and, at least in the vicinity of the door panel stop, to the intrados leg (3) through profiled webs (11, 12) and/or grooves (13/21) and to at least one wall leg (4) of the lining, and optionally to an elastic sealing profile (22), characterized in that in the vicinity of the intrados leg (3) of the lining at least one portion (28) of the wall leg (9) of the base profile section (7) ist set back relative to the intrados leg (3) and attachment of the base profile section to the brickwork (5) is made through said portion (28), and that in the lined part of the rim frame the wall legs (9, 10) of the base profile section (7) are interconnected by tubular guides (14) the ends of which are provided with through holes (15) for fastener means (16) to be inserted into the lining.
