Abstract

1. Device for forming packages consisting of several flat individual products made of paper, cellulose wadding or the like in which device the individual products are positioned one above the other in sub-packages (3) which are conveyed at intervals by a belt conveyer system (1, 2) to a staking mechanism having a vertically operating expeller mechanism (4, 5) arranged above said belt conveyer system, whereby the belt conveyor system (1, 2), at least in the range of the expeller mechanism (4, 5), consists of separate conveyer belts running parallel to one another and being arranged in such way that the sub-packages (3) are grasped in narrow marginal zones and are pushed by the expeller mechanism (4, 5), through the conveyor belt system (1, 2), into a collecting cassette arranged therebelow and comprising a bottom (6) which is adapted to be lowered in controlled manner, and further comprising a horizontally operating push-out mechanism (20a to 20d) for pushing the finished package (7) out of the collecting cassette in a direction towards a delivery mechanism, whereby the bottom (6) of the cassette is first moved downwardly and, after a standstill during which the package (7) is pushed out, is lifted again, characterized in that the downward motion of the bottom (6) of the cassette is achieved by means of a stepping motor (11) controlled by an electronic control unit (17) containing a microprocessor, in such a way that, firstly, a downward motion of the bottom (6) of the cassette takes place in separate steps of predetermined number and step length followed by a final downward motion of the bottom to the level (8) of conveyance of the delivery mechanism, whereby the control signals for the separate steps are generated by an approach switch (14) actuated by the expeller mechanism (4, 5), and whereby the control signals for the final downward motion and for the lifting motion are generated by approach switches (15, 16) actuated by the push-out mechanism (20a to 20d).
