Abstract

The invention relates to a method for die casting involving a dosing of the molten metal from underneath and to a corresponding die casting machine. In order to reliably dose from underneath without spraying, the filling of the casting chamber (1) and the evacuation of the die (8) are carried out separately, whereby a counter hole (6) is provided in the casting chamber (1) and serves to dissipate a counterpressure wave when closing the die (8).
