Abstract

The invention relates to a method for labeling an object according to which at least one microchip or one electromagnetically readable circuit is imprinted onto the object during production. An algorithm is implemented in the circuit by means of which information that is comprised by the object can be coded. The invention also relates to a method for verifying the authenticity of an object (01) that comprises an electromagnetically readable circuit (02) and information (C), so that the information (C) is coded both by means of the algorithm (A) that is implemented in the circuit (02) and in a read device (03) and the results (C'; C'') are subsequently compared to check that they are identical.
