Abstract

Spacers (26) are inserted between the spaced panes (12, 14) and each have round the edge a socket for each pane. At least one of the edge sockets can be formed as a screw-in part (44,50) which screws into the spacer. One screw-in part (44) has a right-hand thread on its outside and a left- hand thread (46) on its inside whilst the other screw-in part (50) has a left-hand thread on its outside for screwing into the first screw part.
