Abstract
The diesel engine has a flame glow plug and a dosing device for preheating the air intake by combustion of fuel. The dosing device has a pressure-regulating blocking valve (13) inserted in the fuel supply line to the flame glow plug, without using a fuel feedback line. An Independent claim for a method of operating a preheating device for the air intake for a diesel engine is also included.
