Abstract

1. A surgeon's face mask with a filter medium composed of fibrous electrets and covered on both sides with layers of nonwoven material, characterized in that at least one of the coverings is formed as a two-layered or two-ply structure such that the layer or ply facing the filter medium consists of electrically insulating synthetic fibres and the outer layer or ply consists of hydrophilic, in particular cellulosic, fibres, the surface resistances of the synthetic fibre layer or layers being in each case at least 10**12 ohm.
