Abstract

An orthopaedic chair for stretching the back of a user, the chair comprising a rotatable unit (1) having a seat (3) and a backrest (4), the rotatable unit (1) being rotatable about a substantially horizontal axis (22) between an upright position and an inverted position, the rotatable unit (1) being provided with a lap restraint (5) for securing the user to the seat (3), wherein the rotatable unit (1) is provided with means (6-8) for applying a force to the soles of the user's feet in the direction of the lap restraint (5). <IMAGE>
