Abstract

The ski stadium has an angled surface (2) to represent a ski piste. A number of snow generators (7), at intervals, deliver snow (S) to the piste surface, and a number of air cooler fans (8) keep the interior of the stadium at a low temperature. The air coolers are connected to a separate control circuit, with temperature sensors, to maintain the air temperature within the stadium at the required level for snow conditions on the piste surface. The cold air is proved by heat exchangers using glycol or a glycol mixture.
