Abstract

The mattress is made up of separate components (11, 12, 15) each of which has a tongue (24) at the front. This interlocks with a recess (25) at the back of the next component. The components may be permanently fixed together or simply held together by their shape. They are made from foam material and selected components may be more rigid than others.
