Abstract

1. Radiant heating element for a cooking unit with a cooking surface (14), particularly made from a glass ceramic material, heating taking place by means of radiant heating resistors (13), arranged in an insulation (12) supported by a support shell (17), with a temperature sensor (28) for a control device arranged outside the heating element in the edge area thereof, and a heat transfer element (18) in thermal contact with the temperature sensor (28) which under areal contact engages on the bottom of the cooking surface (14), extends between the cooking surface (14) and the edge (16) of the insulation (12) adjacent thereto, and the outer portion (24) of which being spaced from the cooking surface (14) characterized in that the heat transfer element (18) has an inner portion (20), projecting from the outside into the heated area of heating element (11), being spaced from heating resistors (13) and engages on cooking surface (14) also in the radiant-heated area and covers the outer heating resistors (13) on part of their circumference, and in that the heat transfer element (18) has a plugon fastening (22, 23) comprising two fastening lugs (22) peripherally spaced from one another on the periphery at the heating element (11) and which can be mounted from above on the edge of the support shell (17).
