Abstract
The cyrogenic separation of air with a rectifier system for separating nitrogen and oxygen incorporates a pressure column (2), a low pressure column (3) and a condenser-evaporator system (101,102,103) for heating the low pressure column. The condenser-evaporator system has a first and second section. The first section has a pipe for introducing compacted and pre-cleaned circulating air (1) into the pressure column; A first oxygen-rich liquid (6) is conveyed to, and returned from, the evaporation passages. The second section conveys a second oxygen-rich liquid (12,13) from the evaporation passages
