Abstract

The armored vehicle, and especially an armored fighting vehicle, has a weapon platform which can be raised and lowered by a rocker (1) with a defined swing angle around a horizontal axis (A1) fixed to the vehicle. The platform is fitted with a weapon (3) and/or an observation instrument (4) on a mounting (2), with rotation around a vertical axis (A2). The platform is raised/lowered by a motor (5.2) with a threaded spindle (5) transmission under the rocker. The spindle nut (5.1) acts on a point at the rocker, at a gap from the swing axis, through two linkages (6.1,6.2) and a fork-shaped push rod (7). The spindle nut rides in a fixed and straight guide (8), parallel to the threaded spindle. The swing plane for the platform can be either along the vehicle line or across it.
