Abstract

A food container (8), provided with a holder for the eating implement (13,14), such as a spoon, comprises an open tray (9) for containing the food and a lid (10), that can be mutually coupled along the edges, and the holder for the implement. The holder has two diametrically opposite tabs (15,16) that protrude from the face (17) of the lid that is directed toward the inside of the container, the tabs retaining the implement adjacent to the inward face in their active position and allowing the manual extraction of the implement in their inactive position. The invention solves the drawbacks noted in food containers with an incorporated eating implement because it allows to avoid removal of the implement without evidently tampering with the container and also prevents contact of the implement with the contained food. <IMAGE>
